THE SPACE
THE FULFILLMENT OF A VISION
Inside a pristine white, neoclassical mansion of the 1940’s with an evergreen courtyard, Jean-Charles Métayer, the renowned French chef welcomes his guests daily wishing to offer them an affordable voyage extraordinaire around the world of fine dining combining his 2 homelands Greece and France and bringing together the sea treasures of the Atlantic Ocean with the sea jewels of the Mediterranean.
The culinary journey begins at a quintessential part of the Chalandri neighborhood in an impeccably renovated and unique venue – Le Pavillon – which prides itself for being one of the few typical neoclassical buildings of the Greek architectural heritage of the 40s remaining today.
Le Pavillon’s both interior and exterior aesthetics embody the essence of an idyllic, past era which has come to date after a meticulous, design-forward refurbishment aiming to elevate this exquisite neoclassical mansion to become an ideal shelter for anyone who enjoys al fresco fine-dining evenings and cozy dining and wine-pairing nights.
Imagine an elegant entrance with a Tom Dixon minimal chandelier in the shape of a whisk – the chef’s favorite cooking utensil – hanging on top of an ornate dark marble table in the middle of the entrance hall, welcoming guests, leading them to the main restaurant and an inner courtyard with lush vegetation “embracing” the entire white mansion.
15 hand-carved tables made out of Greek oak, Dionysus grey and Tinos green marbles, bespoke lamps hanging above each and every table, designed to lighten just the dish, dark green leather sous plat in the shape of the pebble so the land meets the sea, J.L Coquet Limoges porcelain dinnerware, Riedel wine glasses and 3 made in hand leather menus, a beige one, symbolizing the land where one can find the tasting menus, a Bordeaux-red for the wines and a green leather cocktail menu.
The green garden that embraces the detached house will be open from Spring to Autumn.
